Why The World Needs A Harley Quinn Movie

By Joanna Cosgrove

With the release of Suicide Squad, it is an understatement to say that Harley Quinn has become the world’s favourite femme fatale. More people are reading her comics, copying her outfits, and watching her appearances in the cartoons since her debut in the 1990s. However, what separates Suicide Squad from her other appearances in the media is that with this movie, she now has a role in the DCEU. A live-action role. For the first time in her timeline.

Since before the movie’s release, Margot Robbie – who plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad – has confirmed that the bosses at DC are in talks to set up a solo Harley Quinn movie. Personally, I believe this could be one hell of a step forward for DC and especially for Harley.

Clarify Harley’s Backstory

In Suicide Squad, we do have a peek into Harley’s origin, when Dr. Harleen Quinzel is hired to assess the devilish Joker and soon starts obsessing over the evil creature, believing she’s fallen in love – so deep in love that she risks her life just to prove her dedication to him. However, past that story, we know little between then and the current time of the movie; and we really do not know the emotional and psychological effects it’s had on Harley.

I personally would love to see an in-depth explanation for Harley’s psyche. I want to see the ugly side of her relationship with the Joker, and how she develops this compulsive behaviour to return whenever she sees him, and the abusive tricks the Joker pulls on her to keep her hooked. Suicide Squad showed their relationship as too happy-go-lucky, with glimpses of Harley feeling resentment deep down about what he did to her.

Introduce Poison Ivy To The DCEU

I am a fan of females in the media, especially in terms of comic books, and believe me when I say I am 100% here for the introduction of Poison Ivy.

I may not know too much about DC, but I do know that Ivy and Harley have a connection like no other. In the comic universe, Harley – once she has broken free of the Joker – finds comfort and eventually affection in Poison Ivy. So I feel that a movie revolving around Harley (if altering the comic book storyline, a little bit) can also bring in the appearance of this famous fighter. Whether it is straight from the start, partway through, near the end, or even in a mid-credit scene, I truly can picture Harley Quinn’s solo flick being the stepping stone to bringing Ivy into the DCEU. And let’s be real, what would this universe be without Ivy? (And personally: I would love to see Laverne Cox in this role)

Give Her More Live-Action Publicity

It’s all in the acting when it comes to live-action adaptations. I have read many reviews of Suicide Squad, and despite it being called a good or bad movie, many critics agree on one thing: Margot Robbie was definitely the best pick.

I so agree. Margot Robbie took the role, admitted to taking elements from previous Harleys (most often noted, her voice), and it paid off. With the increased popularity of Harley Quinn by Robbie, who will say no to increasing it further with a full two-hour flick about the deadly blonde genius?

It’s sad to say, but popularity = money to the DC bosses, but this can work in our favour. If we show our honest interest, chances of a happening increase. I have seen many fans, old and new, young and old, boys and girls, loving the new Harley so maybe this continuation of her live appearance will keep her going up up up! I want to say in a few weeks, months, however long, that there will be a Harley movie – because it should happen!

harley-quinn-cosplay

So those are three detailed reasons. I do have more, but these are my most important ones to share. I bet most of you agree, and if not, fair enough – I can’t control your favourite or least favourite characters – but the majority I’ve seen are hoping that Harley will return. With or without the Joker.

Watch this space – there could be an announcement at any time!

Suicide Squad Review: The Day The Villains Won (SPOILER FREE)

By Joanna Cosgrove

I’ll start this out by saying, no, I am not as familiar with DC as I am with Marvel (and honestly, besides Assault on Arkham, I have never watched a DC film in full), but if you need to know how great the scale of amazement from Suicide Squad is, just know it made a fan out of me.

The premise of having a full movie, over two hours of watching the nemeses save the day, is enough to intrigue. The movie tells of the formation of Task Force X at the hands of the sophisticated yet devilish Amanda Waller, where she is looking to enforce her superiority over criminals, brought to justice by Batman – and another Justice League member I’m keeping hush hush about for now – by using them as her own unorthodox army to fulfil any orders. If they obey, demands are met and they get a reduced prison sentence each. If they disobey? They can say bye-bye to their lives via bomb in the neck.

By now, for about a year now, we know who is who in this flick. And don’t get me wrong, every character has a chance to shine in their own way. No matter if it’s Harley Quinn’s moments of undying love/obsession for her “puddin”, the infamous Joker; Deadshot’s constant dedication to seeing his daughter despite being restrained due to his deadly job; or even Captain Boomerang’s little friend Pinky (if you’ve seen the trailers, you know exactly who I mean…)

Special praise, in terms of acting, should really go to all of the main cast for their ability to throw away all sense usually linked to the hero role, and embrace the insanity and confused morality of the villain. But let’s single out a few wonderful performances.

Let’s start with the source of casting controversy: Jared Leto’s unique portrayal of the Joker. Unpopular opinion here – I believe Leto’s version of the psychopathic villain was fantastic. Everyone may have had ideas before viewing his full performance, especially from hearing about his behind-the-scenes shenanigans, but I saw what his prep was leading to and wow, I was definitely shocked by how well he fit into the role. Being creepy, frightening, yet fascinating, is what you should always expect from a portrayal of this character; all three were ticked off by Leto so easily. Hopefully with more movies in the DCEU planned, he will appear even more onscreen and we can get deeper into his backstory – and hopefully, it will be Leto returning.

gif_suicide_squad_joker_harley_quinn

On a similar stream, let’s explore his lover of sorts, Harley Quinn. I feel that Harley’s backstory was given more than the other members of the group but it sure did help loop the Joker into the story. Kudos to Margot Robbie for taking on such a complex role and doing it total justice. I cannot think of anyone who could have done a better job for Harley’s first ever live-action appearance. Personally, my highest point with Harley Quinn was all homages to her original red and black jester outfit; whenever it appeared, it was telling the fans “we know how to handle Harley, so don’t you panic”. I did not, and I was proud that she was given the respectful personality she deserved. This includes her chemistry with the Joker. There are scenes that show that despite her love for him, and his love for her, there was an edge to it; she felt uneasy at moments, which gave depth to her emotional state of mind. Thank you, DC, for not reducing Harley Quinn to an insane sexualised blonde. Thank you! Fingers crossed for that Harley Quinn solo movie, because I would so book tickets as soon as they are released.

tumblr_o5i4rycium1udh5n8o1_r1_500

Lastly, but definitely not least, let’s discuss the astounding acting of Jay Hernandez as flame-wielder criminal El Diablo. I don’t know how to talk about him for so long without spoiling the movie, but here goes. Honestly, I had no clue about this character before hearing about Suicide Squad, but I now just want to learn all about him. He was one of the most complicated and heart-breaking characters, because unlike the other villains, he did not want to fight. He explains how he was once like the rest of them, out of control and dangerous; but after too many casualties and too many losses, he restricted himself from using his “curse”. If you’re looking forward to badass pyrotechnics 100% of the time he’s on screen, change your ideas; he will make you feel, possibly cry, when he shows too well the damage villains’ powers can have on loved ones.

tumblr_o18f1yscm71s5zf6fo1_500

So to conclude, I will say this: do not pay full attention to websites like IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes, who take some reviews and average the scores. Go see the movie, judge for yourself. You may agree with me, and you may not; it’s all up to you and how you view this movie.

Give these evil enemies a chance, because like it or not, they are here and they are ready to dominate the box office.

Rating: 9/10

Suicide Squad. “I’m a soldier! You’re a serial killer who takes credit cards.”

Plenty of things happened in this 2-hour comic book film, all of which were great. The Harley and Joker pairing happened (and it worked well), the extension to the DC Extended Universe went swimmingly and Jai Courtney finally happened (more on that later)!

Amanda-Waller-Suicide-Squad-600x360

We start with introductions to our characters beginning with Deadshot (Will Smith) who is currently incarcerated following his capture by Batman. We also see Harley (Margot Robbie) in a similar situation. Then we get to meet Amanda Waller, possibly one of the greatest villains in DC, who definitely lives up to her reputation in this movie. Amanda Waller has started putting together a team that she calls Task Force X, this is to take villains and give them the chance to do some good and have time taken off their prison sentences, possibly prepare them for the next meta-human threat. She also backs up this team by showing off the Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) and her unique powers. Amongst the “Suicide Squad” there is pyrokinetic El Diablo, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc, Katana, Slipknot and their team leader Rick Flagg as well as Deadshot and Harley. Some may think how do you keep villains in line and to co-operate with you? Well, Amanda Waller has got a way which could leave you with an almighty headache if you disobey her.

suicide-squad-movie-characters-video

Throughout the film, we see the team come together and see what brought them to their current situation. We then also get to see the big bad emerge from a familiar point as Midway City becomes a war zone. The team is then sent out to extract an individual from the city before things get worse. While we have the Squad heading out to fight, there is a certain Joker going around too trying to get back to Harley. Without giving away too much, there is a lot of backstory filled for Harley to understand her relationship with her Mr. J, and the scenes do work well between all the action. Though this is a comic book film and there is a great number of CGI shots, this truly does still feel like a grounded movie throughout. It doesn’t feel as big as Batman v Superman was, but it does still impose a scale which is epic.

I don’t want to give too much away, but there is a great chance for many characters to shine and they do. Deadshot and Harley definitely get the most to do in this movie and get the most development. Will Smith really makes this part work for him and I can’t wait to see where Deadshot will show up next. Margot Robbie makes Harley a breakout character and you know there is so much more for her to do in the DCEU in the future. If the rumours of a spin-off with Harley are true, I hope this means more Joker too and maybe an introduction to Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Jay Hernandez for me was a character we needed a lot more screen time with, playing the powerful El Diablo came to him with ease and was by far the deepest portrayal in the movie. You do feel most for this guy out of all the characters featured.

suicide-squad-joker

There were very few characters I didn’t like, but some I think got a rough deal. Jared Leto’s Joker was actually rather fun, I enjoyed the scenes he was in, but he should have been in the movie more for a better effect (but hopefully he will be back in the solo Batman film and maybe Justice League). Viola Davis definitely nailed the part of Amanda Waller, and you will feel a lot of hatred for her but be amazed how much you enjoy her character (hopefully more of Amanda to come). If I was to say one that did make me laugh, it was Captain Boomerang. Jai Courtney was a very funny character and brought some good laughs to the screen but was relatively absent till nearly an hour into the film (though his scene of him getting arrested was great). Then there is The Dark Knight himself, Ben Affleck may not get a lot of screen time in Suicide Squad, but Batman is definitely a big force in the movie. Batman may be next leading the screen in Justice League, but it’s great to see him weave throughout this universe.

13

This film is a success, throughout it is very funny and will keep your attention throughout. The action scenes are intense and the special effects both practical and CG are done superbly. The dialogue does crackle throughout and there are so many great lines in its runtime. The music throughout is brilliant, the mix of rock classics and modern hits really shines. Hearing a mix of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eminem, Queen, White Stripes and many more really work well in the movie. There is a sense of Guardians of the Galaxy in this movie, the similarities come from its fun soundtrack and the way the characters come together from all different places and work as one solid unit. Overall I loved this film! A few minor gripes are the main mission they are trying to accomplish, then there is the under-development of a few squad members. But a strong cast, some great cameos and a super mid-credit scene make this film a resounding success. The Joker and Harley share a much different relationship to how I was expecting and I won’t spoil it here, but I did enjoy it and hope to see that expand in the future. Suicide Squad 2 should be on the list, and I hope we get more Deadshot, Harley, Joker, Amanda Waller and Captain Boomerang (They tried for years to make Jai Courtney happen, and he finally happened!) in the near future. David Ayer knows how to make a true Comic Book film and I hope he sticks with the DC Extended Universe for a long time. And just for once, bad is good!

Final rating: 9/10 (10 if the DVD release features more Joker and a few more DC easter eggs).

DC at Comic-Con

DC’s Extended Universe may only be two films in, but there was a lot to show off at Comic-Con this year. With the release of Suicide Squad just a matter of days away, there was some more clips and a trailer to keep teasing this movie. We also got to see a proper first look at Wonder Woman and a Justice League trailer already? Also, how about the DC shows on The CW? Let us see what was shown in San Diego this weekend!

Suicide Squad

With the film out on August 5th, we don’t have too long to wait for this big release. Bringing together a huge selection of DC villains for this release, we are guaranteed a superhero movie unlike any film we have seen before. With a huge selection of clips and a new trailer, the hype for this film could not be higher! We have got so much to look forward to in the DCEU, and this movie looks to be the turning point for all films to come!

The Flash

We know that the start of Season Three will be an adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline, and the initial trailer shows Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen really taking on a different world when the show returns. With new additions such as Tom Felton and the return of the Reverse-Flash, there will be plenty to enjoy in the new season. The Flash has never been about simple storylines, but if we have learnt anything, it is that the Arrowverse knows what the fans want! And, it is Flashpoint!

Arrow

Without this show, the run of DC shows we have now just wouldn’t exist. Arrow season 5 will continue with the fracturing of Team Arrow as Oliver Queen looks to build a new team. We have Curtis about to become Mr Terrific and we also have a potential Artemis and Wild Dog as new members of the team. Where we get a good a good tease at what is to come, I can’t wait to see what affect happens from the Flashpoint storyline

Wonder Woman

Gal Gadot is fresh from her fantastic appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice to bring her to the big screen for her debut as a lead in a film. We get a great tease in the few minutes of the trailer which features a fantastic cast and some great action scenes. It’s safe to say that the warrior from Themyscira will indeed make a great splash in 2017 in both Justice League (we will get to that) and with this movie! Did I mention the humour and action is just spectacular? Because it is!

Justice League

Well this one was unexpected! We don’t get this film for another 16 months (Sixteen Months!!!!!), but we got a great look at what is to come. We see Bruce Wayne begin to assemble the league in this movie and learn more about the members who will be coming in! Aquaman does indeed look intimidating, and this will work well for the character. Wonder Woman is on hand to help, and will do all she can to help Bruce. The Flash seems very keen to be part of this group, and almost fangirls over the fact he just met Batman. Then there is Cyborg who actually does look rather awesome! Cyborg ain’t as flashy (no joke intended) as I thought he would be, but does look impressive. We get a good idea of what to expect, but I think you should watch the trailer now and begin your hype train!

Suicide Squad – Final Trailer

With just a few weeks to go, one of 2016’s biggest films is about to be released! We know Suicide Squad will see a collection of villains coming together for a mission set up by the conniving Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). This team includes Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc, El Diablo and more! We also get a new Joker (Jared Leto) for the DCEU and the excitement level is ridiculously high!

We know this film will possibly set a standard for the DCEU and I definitely hope this will be the best in the series so far! Due out 5th August, check out the last trailer before it’s release. Then just another 8 months till we get Wonder Woman (I do like looking towards the future)

WHY SUICIDE SQUAD WILL SAVE THE DCEU

So…not many people really enjoyed Batman v Superman. Man Of Steel really polarised the viewers and it looks like this will continue to be a pattern for a majority of the films in the DC Extended Universe. The darker tone which began in 2013 looks set to continue with 2017’s Wonder Woman and the upcoming Justice League movie. But, there may be a significant game-changer amongst the DCEU…SUICIDE SQUAD!

Since the announcement of the film, the excitement level has been intense. Now that we have had our third glimpse into the upcoming superhero/supervillain movie, these are the reasons why Suicide Squad will save the DCEU!

  1. This will give B-Grade villains the spotlight

Let’s be honest, how many films would you see Deadshot, Killer Croc or Harley Quinn as a main villain? You wouldn’t. When a movie is made, the main villain normally looks to be equal or iconic to its hero. But what happens when your film is mostly villains? We get to expand the universe that bit more and see those who normally wouldn’t make it to the big screen. Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and even Kitana are some of the

  1. The tone looks dark and fun

Nobody ever said you can’t make a dark movie, but keeping it too dark and serious makes the film suffer in its attempts to connect to its audience. The big criticism around Batman v Superman was that it was too bleak in places and lacked humour. Well, if the trailers are any indication, we will be getting some fun interactions with these characters. Captain Boomerang actor Jai Courtney looks like he will be providing a good amount of laughs on his own, and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn most certainly will be a favourite once August arrives. Be brooding, dark, atmospheric, etc. but please be fun too! (Take note of this for Wonder Woman, Justice League, The Flash, Aquaman, Shazam, Green Lantern, Cyborg and all the other films to come).

  1. Pleasing fans of DC as well as the casual movie-goer

If any lesson was learn’t in the last few years, is that you don’t necessarily need to have the biggest of names to get people to see a great movie. This time two years ago, hardly anyone knew who Chris Pratt was (star of Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jurassic World). Taking risks on films like Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and even Kingsman proved you don’t always need to worry about non-established characters. If the movie is done right, your audience will come. It looks like Suicide Squad will not only be a hugely entertaining action flick, but will also give plenty to those who have read the comics inside and out. Also, the links to the DCEU are in full view, hopefully many of these will pass from Suicide Squad and onto the future of the DC Extended Universe.

  1. Keeping It Fresh

With the superhero genre practically flooding the market, it is becoming increasingly difficult to bring something new to the audience. When Suicide Squad hits the cinema later this year, the eager audience already know that they are going to be getting the opposite of a typical superhero movie. Cheering on the bad guys is definitely not the norm, but David Ayer has seemingly made a film which will undoubtedly give a new perspective to the DCEU and show that it is good to be bad!

  1. Sequel? Why not!

If the film turns out to be as big of a success as many are hoping, then who wouldn’t want to see a sequel following another adventure for Task Force X? With all the chatter outside of the film showing a great connection with the cast and positive early buzz, there will be a big need for films like this to continue the new run of exciting adventures at the cinema. I honestly believe this film will be what saves the DCEU, and a sequel to its currently most anticipated property will be more than welcome.

THE SIXTEEN FILMS TO SEE IN 2016

Deadpool

Do you enjoy your comic book films as family friendly, easy viewing and generally safe? Well, that is thrown out the window in this adaptation. Starring Ryan Reynolds as the guy in the red suit (no, not Santa), Deadpool follows the lead character as he gets revenge on those who nearly destroyed his life. Possibly the darkest and most brutal Marvel film to date, you will surely be questioning your movie tastes when you find yourself laughing out loud at this film. Be sure to look out for cameos from the X-Men and how many times the fourth wall is broken.

Captain America: Civil War

The oldest bromance in the MCU is about to be revived as Captain America finds his former friend Bucky, and looks to save him. Things don’t look too good as Bucky is wanted for the crimes he committed when he was brainwashed as The Winter Soldier. With tensions mounting, The Avengers split into two factions. One lead by Cap, the other by Iron Man. Look out for new heroes on the screen such as Black Panther, Spider-Man and the return of General “Thunderbolt” Ross. Who will survive the Civil War? Plus, this is coming from the guys who made Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so I think we are in very good hands.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Did you enjoy The Force Awakens? Honestly, it restored the faith in the franchise for millions of people and looks set to become the biggest film of 2015 and maybe even of all time. Since Disney want to expand the franchise, we get this spin-off set between Episode III and IV which shows a group of rebel fighters looking to steal the plans for the Death Star. A heist movie in Star Wars sounds a bit mad, right? Well, it worked well in Ant-Man, so it could be fun and exciting. Be sure to see many callbacks and maybe a cameo from James Earl Jones and Ian McDiarmid as the Sith Lords?

Doctor Strange

Comic book movies are definitely going to be taking over the world again in 2016, but this one looks to be a very much different idea compared to the others. Using a more mystical setting, bringing magic into the Marvel Cinematic Universe will certain add a new dimension to the well-established world that we have come to know. Benedict Cumberbatch will become the sorcerer supreme while the supporting cast includes Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen and Tilda Swinton. A great cast should easily bring this film to life and take it to a world of its own!

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Has there been a void in your heart since the Harry Potter films finished? Well fear not, as 2016 will see us return to the wizarding world for this story set around 70 years before Harry Potter was born. Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, a British wizard from the Ministry of Magic in 1920’s New York as he holds a briefcase filled with many creatures and they escape. This sounds like a fun movie, and it will be great to see what happens when the magic world gets hugely involved with the muggle world.

Suicide Squad

The villains are coming, and they are ready to save the world. With many of the DC rogues, including many which originated from Batman, are set up by Amanda Waller for a mission which many others would consider a death sentence. From Harley Quinn to Killer Croc, there is a huge mix of villains from which to take in and discover. Will the film do a good job of expanding the DC universe of films? And what will happen with Jared Leto becoming the new version of The Joker? See when the insanity begins in August!

Star Trek Beyond

2016 will see the 50th anniversary of the long-running Sci-Fi franchise be marked with the new film. Star Trek Beyond is set after the 2013 film and shows the crew of the Starship Enterprise as they embark on their mission to explore space. After an incident which sees the starship destroyed, the crew are all separated and in danger. Though we won’t have Leonard Nimoy making an appearance as Spock, we may still get that William Shatner cameo which has been mentioned for many many years.

Ghostbusters

In 1984, the catchiest theme tune was released to go with one of the most fun movies of the decade. Even though this is a reboot of the original film, here is hoping there will still be links to the original movies. Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy lead the cast as the new female Ghostbusters come together for an updated adventure. Though to see Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver maybe back in some of their original roles will be worth cost of the ticket.

The BFG

Steven Spielberg returns to making family movies with the release of The BFG. Based on the famous novel from Roald Dahl, The BFG will see Mark Rylance take the title role as the Big Friendly Giant as teams up with a young girl to capture the man-eating giants who have been invading the human world. The work of Roald Dahl always is fun to see on the big screen, and an update on this classic tale will surely get plenty of people to see what happens. Now, we just need that adaptation of The Twits to finally get the go ahead.

X-Men: Apocalypse

If you think of how Spider-Man and Fantastic Four went, you will know why people have begged for them to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Luckily, even after 16 years, the X-Men films have managed to be very impressive and recently see their critical acclaim hit an all-time high. With the mutant Apocalypse about to rise, he enlists four mutants to be his horseman to help him take over the world. This will conclude the trilogy which begun with First Class and looks to be the biggest film to date.

The Angry Birds Movie

Have you ever played this game on your phone/tablet/video game console? Chances are you have heard about this movie being produced. There are so many big names coming to lend their voice in this movie (including Peter Dinklage, Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader and more). With the story seeming to be similar to the nature of the game, it looks like a good film to take the kids and just wittle away 90 minutes to something fun. The trailer makes the film look rather intriguing, but we will find out more when it comes out this summer!

The Jungle Book

Jon Favreau brought Iron Man to the big screen and helped kickstart the MCU, and now he looks to take the Rudyard Kipling classic to the cinema once again for this modern update. Disney looks to take one of its more popular set of characters and give them to a whole new audience. Bill Murray gets to play his dream role as Baloo and Christopher Walken will be shaking his thing as King Louie. With the film coming out this spring, it will be a great way to introduce the characters you know to your kids or younger siblings.

Grimsby

Sacha Baron Cohen returns for yet another quirky character and looking to make another massive impact on the world. This time, he becomes Nobby Grimsby, a football hooligan whose brother is a spy for MI6. They reunite after a long time to help save the world and the humour looks to be very strong in this one. Playing his brother is Mark Strong, a man who may not be too familiar with comedy, but already seems to have it down to a tee. Let’s see if Cohen can make it yet another success story with Grimsby.

Creed

Rocky Balboa will forever go down as one of the most famous characters in movie history. Sylvester Stallone returns to the role that made him famous and this time takes a supporting role to Michael B. Jordan who debuts as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky’s former friend and rival Apollo. Adonis seeks out Rocky for his help in getting him into boxing, and the story goes from there. The praise for this film already is ridiculously high and there is even Oscar talk for Stallone. Definitely one to see for fans of boxing, Rocky, Stallone or just to see what is probably his best performance according to many reviewers.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

If you can take a famous novel from Jane Austen and make it into a well-received parody, you clearly are on to a winner. Burr Steers has written and directed this adaptation and has managed to squeeze in a huge amount of talent for this movie. A mostly British cast lead this film which tells the original Pride and Prejudice story, but with the subtle change of being in a world infested with zombies. Could there be a more bonkers movie for 2016, yes and it is called Deadpool! But I think this will probably get people going just for the title alone!

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

What more do I need to say? This is two of the biggest comic book characters in history coming face to face on the big screen for the first time. Henry Cavill returns as the Man Of Steel while Ben Affleck gets his chance to be the hero again as he becomes The Dark Knight. Though many feel the latest trailer has maybe given away a lot of the story, the one released in the summer saw just how well the two go on the screen and the tension is shown to be really high as both characters come eye to eye. This may be the biggest film of the year, will you see it?

P.S. There is also Finding Dory…
