Justice League. New Trailer. Is It Good?

The DCEU has had a lot of people worried now for some time. Man Of Steel was one of the most divisive films of recent memory, and they followed that up with…another divisive film! But, what we did get from Batman v Superman was a great collection of characters who will indeed be taking the world by storm this November. Here is the new trailer…

Do I honestly think Justice League will save the DC Extended Universe? Definitely!

There is a decent level of humour in this trailer, which was hinted in the debut trailer last year. We also get to see more on Cyborg (Ray Fisher), Aquaman (Jason Momoa, who certainly seems to be having fun in the role) and The Flash (Ezra Miller). By November, we would have become more acquainted with Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot was indeed perfect casting) and it is just right seeing Batman lead this group of heroes into the fight against Steppenwolf and his Parademons who have come to earth for three mother boxes that are on the planet (these are supercomputers created in Apokolips, the home to Steppenwolf and DC big-bad Darkseid!).

Also not just teasing the action, we also get to see other characters that will appear in the film, including our first real look at J.K. Simmons becoming Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard’s Mera and Billy Crudup becoming Henry Allen (Barry Allen’s Dad). The shots we see look great and still no sign of Henry Cavill emerging as Superman…yet! We may be waiting a little while longer for that Batman solo film, but Ben Affleck will be back and leading the charge as the Dark Knight later this year. While we see no sign of Steppenwolf just yet, I am sure we will probably get our first glimpse of him in the next trailer.

Overall, I like this. It may be just what the DCEU needed. But you can find out for yourself when Justice League comes to cinemas on 17th November 2017!
