Alex Louise – Bad Day “…Close Your Eyes And Sing LALALALA”

ARTIST: Alex Louise

TRACK: Bad Day

Released: Friday 8th August 2014

So, Alex Louise is a singer/songwriter who isn’t demanding your attention, but I think it would be very nice of you if you did. Alex is here singing an uplifting song which highlights some of the woes that may bring us down. The track ‘Bad Day’ is a magnificent track which gets you dancing along your room clutching your hairbrush as you sing along (at least to the La La La La bits).

The song starts with a nice build from the acoustic guitar and we are then treated to the rich vocals as Alex describes the beginning of her “Bad Day” which includes still feeling tired and feeling tired (definitely two recurring elements to my mornings). The chorus then comes in and Alex Louise tells us to just throw our troubles away and make the most of what the day will bring. “You can try but you can’t bring me down” Alex sings defiantly and sounds like she is having a lot of fun (even if the day is a bit pants). The song is a joy throughout, the music video too is a delight and provides a few giggles too.

So, summer is coming to an end soon and unfortunately there will be bad days on the way, but just have Alex Louise singing to you about her ‘Bad Day’ will lighten your spirit and you will find yourself singing along to the track while in the car, on the train or even at your next business meeting. Credit goes to both Alex and her musical partner Sam Bosanquet for putting together such a lovely tune. This is truly something special.

Final Rating: 9/10
